Rd1 Paul Ricard: Friday Free Practice Report

The 2021 Italian Formula 4 Championship powered by Abarth has officially started, with the first free practice sessions of Round 1, taking place at Circuit Paul Ricard, France. It was a day of positive steps for Georgis.

«During my first laps with the fresh set of tires, there was a lot of traffic – there are 37 cars in the track this weekend! Then, we changed tires again and I circulated 3 tenths faster than my best time during last week’s testing! It is a positive start, my target for FP2, is to find half a second, in order to get into Top-15».

«I managed to improve, not only by the target of 0.5sec I had set, but by a whole second in comparison with FP1. Unfortunately, my position in the results did not change. A mistake in the last corner on my fastest lap, meant I could be 0.3sec faster. If I had avoided that mistake, I would have been 15th-16th. We made positive steps and set a solid base for qualifying tomorrow».
